Rob Chaplinsky

Co-founder, Managing Director

Rob Chaplinsky has been investing in technology startups for over 20 years and is an entrepreneur and operating executive. As Co-founder at Link Ventures, Rob is on the investment committee, manages all investor relations and manages the team.  Prior to Link Ventures, Rob co-founded silicon valley based venture capital firm Bridgescale Partners, and software user interface company Typesoft which was acquired by Apple in 2014.  Rob has managed multiple venture capital funds totaling over $1B in assets spanning all segments of the technology industry. Rob's current investments include MotoRefi, Trust& Will and some of his past investments include elearning SaaS company Axonify, workforce management SaaS company Dayforce/Ceridian (NYSE: CDAY),  Internet of Things company Jasper (acquired by Cisco NASDAQ: CSCO), intellectual property company Pivotal Technologies (acquired by Broadcom NASDAQ:BRCM), email security software company Proofpoint (NASDAQ PFPT), work force management SaaS company Rypple (acquired by Salesforce.com NYSE: CRM), online photo sharing company Shutterfly (NYSE: SFLY), and compensation management SaaS company Xactly (NYSE: XTLY), E-commerce technology company Loop Returns and healthcare engagement platform, Pomelo.

Rob is currently on the board of directors at Link portfolio companies Caribou and Trust & Will.

Prior to forming Bridgescale, Rob was a general partner Mohr Davidow Ventures and prior to that worked in various marketing positions at Intel Corporation. Rob has a B. Sc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
